This is me…

  I turn 45 this year, which has motivated me to reflect on my past accomplishments (and failures) and consider what my future will look like. With that in mind, I’m keen to take on new challenges, shake my ‘middle-aged’ complacency…go beyond my comfort-zone. My intent is to make changes to my lifestyle, including my emotional, physical and spiritual journey. In the last few years it’s fair to say i’ve let things slide – putting my energy into seemingly (but not) important things. At times I lost touch with what’s important and essential – my wife, my family and health…and my self. This blog – ‘What have I become’ – will capture my personal journey documenting my trials and tribulations, my successes and failures, online, open to the public. Why share? Recently I read a couple of Brene Browns books – Braving the Wilderness and the Power of Vulnerability – both of which have deeply resonated with me. I’m choosing to share my vulnerability. Brown suggests that if you can ‘accept your imperfections and choose to share them, you become open and therefore able to receive all that life has to offer’.
